We welcome you to the starting point of the Iñurritza tour. Specifically at the eastern end of the marine part of the Zarautz Blue Green Ring. We want to encourage you to know their biodiversity and to do so we have defined 9 points of interest. Do you come to know this circular 2-kilometer tour that starts on the runway of the dunes?
Iñurritza is a treasure carved by water. Along the route we will cross three spaces representative of the ecosystems of our coast: dunes, marshes and cliffs.
In order to protect this natural treasure, in 1997 the Basque Government declared the Iñurritza area as a Protected Natural Landscape and later joined the Natura 2000 Network of Protected Natural Areas of Europe, by the values of its habitats and species. We have before us a natural treasure of almost 52 football fields! Enjoy it, and keep in mind the following so that future generations can also enjoy it:
Follow the blue-green lines and arrows without getting out of the route to minimize the impact on this sensitive environment.
What for us is a treasure, also for birds, as a source of food and shelter. Loud noises and movements will drive them away!
On the runway of the dunes, priority is given to people walking. So you have to bring your bike, skate or scooter in your hand. Slowing down your speed will help you enjoy the landscape differently!
Remember that each person has to remove the waste they generate without leaving a trace.
If we come with the dog, let us not forget that we will have to take it subject to prevent it from chasing the birds. And remember that they don't know how to collect their droppings; you're responsible.
