General information

CHARACTERISTICS

The Itinerary of Iñurritza is located on the eastern end of the city of Zarautz.

Like most of the urban centre of Zarautz, the circular route is situated in a flat area. Consequently, the pedestrian point of departure of Iñurritza is also accessible to users with reduced mobility and wheelchair users.

In the Malecón, near the starting point of the Iñurritza route, there are self-cleaning public toilets, banks and fountains, both at the height of the skate parc and in the cantina Borguetto. To access them you can use the existing ramps to the Malecon found at the beginning point of the Iñurritza route.

In the first section of the itinerary of Iñurritza, the duna is traversed through a wooden walkway parallel to the seaside, it is a hard pavement that allows the users of wheelchairs and pedestrians to comfortably cross the area where the dunes are located.

After passing the bridge of the canal of Iñurritza, there is a land with gravel land on the road of Sorginmuño. Although the soil is quite flat, it is irregular, with slopes and narrow areas in some sections. In this section there are numerous banks and a water source.

There is no guidance system for visually impaired people on the route.

HOW TO REACH

On foot

Until you reach the beginning point of the Iñurritza route you have to move through the streets of the city. Until you reach Aresti Street there is a large pedestrian space accessible, after crossing Lauaxeta Street by the pass of zebra, we will continue along Aresti Street and Mendilatua Street, which are not accessible because the sidewalks are narrow (with a width of less than 2 m), but the circulation of vehicles is limited so you can walk along the road.

By bicycle

Zarautz has a large network of bidegorris distributed throughout the municipality. Thanks to this extensive network, the route of Iñurritza can be made by bike, except on the runway of the dunes. Next to the starting point of the Iñurritza route there is a bicycle parking point. Also, in the Bertsolaris Square, next to the chapel of San Pelaio and the ikastola Salbatore Mitxelena, there are numerous bicycle parking points.
